The Abstract 9 is a group of Bay Area painters who meet to walk the gamut of Acrylic painting. We critique and exchange, explore form and design, and manipulate processes and materials. Blending craft and feeling, we explore the collective experiences of ourselves and our times. We don't just paint, we think and innoinnovate!

The exhibit includes work from 9 studio artists compelled to create vibrant, optical, tactile, textured art. Among them are Ila Coombs, Mary Delave, Michele DiGregorio, Joan Hartwell, Lynda Newell, Alice Orth, Peri Penninger, Bob Armstrong, and Alana Unger. The artists recent works courageously stretch to explore abstract figurative to purely abstract. Artists will be available at the reception to discuss their work.
